Ambassadors from Pontevedra are involved in the sustainability strategy of the Grand Final

As part of its sustainability strategy, and under the motto “Eco-city, Eco-event”, the Grand Final has a select group of elite athletes who acted as sustainability ambassadors for the event, through the recording of a series of videos on social media networks of the Spanish Triathlon Federation.

In this sense, since the organization of the event, a whole series of measures have been put in place to facilitate access to it, always guaranteeing the best health conditions and encouraging the use of reusable cups and bottles that will considerably reduce the use of single-use plastics.

Susana Rodríguez: Doctor, five-time world champion and gold medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in adapted triathlon, refers in her speech to the importance of good habits related to healthy eating and their relationship with sports practice, such as the implementation of simple premises in this sense help to undoubtedly improve sports performance.

This action plan is part of the Good Loop movement, an expression that reflects the Spanish Triathlon Federation’s commitment to sustainability. With Good Loop, FETRI seeks the maximum reduction of pollutant emissions generated during Triathlon competitions to achieve the highest levels of sustainability. This path does not stop here, because it will continue to be a basic pillar for the Spanish Triathlon Federation and for the city of Pontevedra, where the Multisport World Cup will also be held in 2025.
